Our Location

Access to Kit Hill House by car is from the top of Talland Hill which is steep and narrow but is two-way for residents and guests at Kit Hill. The steep walk down into the village takes 4 to 5 minutes and you should allow 8 to 10 minutes for the return.

Getting Here

By Air - Nearest Airports:
Exeter 1¼hr, Bristol 2¼hr,
Plymouth ¾hr and Newquay ¾hr.
From Bristol & Exeter take M5 south and then A38 to Plymouth, keep on the A38 past Plymouth, over the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall, turn left at roundabout signposted Looe just after the village of Tideford and then, shortly afterwards, turn right to Looe. Then follow the main directions from point [1] below.

From Newquay, go east on the A30 then take the A38 from Bodmin and in the Glyn Valley, turn right following the signs for Polperro to join the coast road between Looe & Polperro (turn right to Polperro). Then follow the main directions from point [2] below.

By Train: Liskeard is on the main Penzance line with good services from London Paddington, the Midlands and the North. There is a train service to Looe from the mainline station in Liskeard.

Directions

[1] Head out of Looe towards Polperro on the A387. After a couple of miles, you pass a petrol station on the left hand side. [2] After ½ mile take a turning left signposted Killigarth Manor Holiday Park and Polperro CP School. Drive past the holiday park, the road bends sharply to the right, drive past the school and straight on where the road narrows and descends sharply to a T junction. Turn left and you are in Talland Hill which descends steeply. Watch out for a parking area on the left and shortly afterwards on the right is the tarmac driveway to Kit Hill House with a chain across the entrance. The driveway rises steeply to the right and we are at the top on the left where there is plenty of space for parking and turning.
